Women’s bodies and needs are different
Women are not men. We have completely different physiology, a different body clock and a corresponding hormone cycle. When we don’t live in alignment with our hormone cycle, it causes an imbalance and problems like period cramps, PMS, PCOS, etc. While men have a 24-hour hormone cycle, women’s hormone cycles are aligned to their menstrual cycle. Women’s biological systems – brain, immune system, metabolism, microbiome and stress response, fluctuate with their monthly cycle. Not only do their biological systems work differently than men, they aren’t static. They fluctuate in direct response to the rise and fall of hormones each month. As women grow older and transition into menopause, the hormonal cycles change again prompting yet another set of changes and therefore needs in a woman’s body.
